    • The Great Range opened in 2007 and is in the center of town. Its lunch menu offers an extensive array of sandwiches and fresh salads. Among the dinner appetizers are scallops with a pinot gris butter, and escargot with cognac cream sauce. Its eclectic dinner entrees include venison bangers and mash with brown sauce. Other entree choices are pork, risotto, fish, pasta and veal. Once a month the restaurant hosts a wine tasting with live music.

    • Noon Mark Diner has long been a staple for locals and tourists who live and visit the heart of the Adirondacks. An unpretentious diner, it serves up home-cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Ever since its opening in 1981, the Noon Mark has been well known for its homemade breads and pies.
