• Christmas gatherings bring together family and friends who may not have seen each other for a while. Break the ice with some Christmas games. Game playing helps everyone relax and have a good time. Secret Snowman

• Before your guests arrive, make a three-inch snowman from card stock or construction paper. Place a loop of tape on the back of the snowman. Covertly place the snowman on one of your guest's backs. After the snowman's discovery, it passes it secretly to someone else who will then find it a new home. At the end of the night, everyone should have worn the secret snowman on his or her back.
  
  

Pass the Snowballs

• Fill two plastic bowls with cotton balls. Divide your guests into two groups. Line people up according to their groups. At the end of each group's line, place another bowl. Give everyone plastic spoons. The first person in the line scoops up a snowball or cotton ball and passes it by spoon to the next person. This continues down the line with the last person dumping the snowballs into the other bowl. Dropped snowballs do not count, and no one can use their hands. Play some upbeat Christmas music during this game to see everyone really get into it.
  
  

Dirty Santa

• Have guests each bring a wrapped gift to your gathering. Put all the gifts in a pile on a table. Assign every guest a number. Call the numbers randomly by pulling numbered slips of paper from a bowl. Call a player's number. Then the player should choose a gift from the pile. He or she opens the gift and shows it to everyone. Pick another number, and ask the guest with that number to choose a gift. The guest can also choose to be a Dirty Santa by taking the presents of anyone who came before him. This continues until everyone has received a gift or stolen one. Make it a rule that each gift is only stolen twice.
  
  

Pin the Nose on Rudolph

• Before the party, make a reindeer out of brown paper. Tape the Rudolph reindeer on a wall of your dining room or party room. Make red construction paper noses, and put tape loops on the back of them. Blindfold guests one at a time and let them attempt to put the red nose on Rudolph. This game is good for all ages.
