How to Clean and Polish Wood
- 1). Dust or vacuum your wood surface to remove loose dirt and debris. Use a soft duster or vacuum with a brush attachment. Do this twice weekly to keep your wood in good condition.
- 2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water. Add 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar to the bucket of warm water. Mix the vinegar and water by swirling your hand in the bucket.
- 3). Saturate a soft cloth in the vinegar-water mixture. Remove it from the bucket and wring it out so that is moist and no longer saturated.
- 4). Wipe down a small section of the wood surface. Dry the section of wood with a clean, soft cloth immediately after wiping it down.
- 5). Rewet and wring out the rag. Clean and dry another section of the wood surface. Keep repeating these steps until you have cleaned all the wood.
- 6). Apply wood polish to a soft, lint-free rag. Rub the polish onto the clean wood in a circular motion using small, even strokes. Polish your wood surfaces once weekly.
