The calf is placed on the other side of the tibia.
Veal runs from the heel to the back of the knee.
There are two main calf muscles.
First the large, it is the muscle Gastroc.
This muscle is inserted just above the knee.
However, this muscle has more of an insertion also inserts into the heel bone.
The other minor muscle in the calf is called soleus.
This muscle attaches to the heel and the knee joint through Achilles.
One of the most popular injury is a strained calf, there is often a burden on the muscle Gastroc.
This can cause an injury anywhere from a few days to several months, depending on whether a strain or a tear.
Many people try and spend time working on other muscles and not the gastroc mainly because it is not a muscle that appears frequently, it is also a muscle that is difficult to apply.
Gastroc muscle exercises can be done in several ways.
The press machine leg if you put your toes on it and then move them up and down, you feel this job up and down the calf.
Another simpler way is too get up in your toes, hold for a second then return to the floor.
This is a great way to strengthen the muscle Gastroc.

The beauty of working on the muscles of the calf and Gastroc is that it can be done anywhere, anytime, anywhere.
Even in the shower, you can practice calves.
Gastroc muscle is also a muscle that can stretch hard.
The next time you're with someone, get them to stretch and see how strong the muscle is.
If you injure your calf muscle then my best advice is to use what is called RICE.
This means that the injury is ice it.
Compress with a bag of ice.
E is for lifts elevate the wound above the heart to stop blood flow in the region.
