    • 1). Make sure the wire sensor arm above the ice cube bucket can move up and down. The ice maker automatically turns off when cubes pile high enough to raise the wire arm sensor. Flatten the cubes in the bucket so the sensor arm hangs down, restoring the cube-making function.

    • 2). Break apart any cubes that are frozen together in the ice bucket, with your hand. Clumps of ice stop the auger from moving and may jam the mechanism. Ice cubes melt together when you store hot or warm food in the freezer or leave the door open for long periods of time.

    • 3). Adjust the freezer temperature if it's above 0 Fahrenheit or -18 Celsius. Tap the "v" button beside the LCD freezer temperature display until the correct temperature appears. Allow 24 hours for the refrigerator to reach the target temperature. Ice cubes stick together less often when stored at the correct temperature.

    • 4). Use a chopstick or other thin utensil to probe inside the dispenser nozzle and ice maker mechanism. Dislodge any trapped cubes that might be blocking the mechanism. Stuck cubes are a common cause of trouble for ice makers.

    • 5). Pull the ice bin forward, away from the mechanism, and raise the sensor arm into its up and "Off" position. Empty the cubes down the sink and melt any stuck chunks of ice with warm tap water. Thoroughly dry everything and return the ice bucket to the freezer compartment. New cubes should appear within 24 hours.
