How do I Create WAV Ringtones?
- 1). Open your music-editing software such as WavePad, Audacity, or Music Editor 2011.
- 2). Click "File," then "Open." Find the song that you want to make into a ringtone and double-click it. This will import the song into your music-editing program, allowing you to edit it into a ringtone.
- 3). Select the portion of the song thatyou want to use as your ringtone. Copy this section and paste it in a new audio file. Save the new audio file as a WAV file by clicking "File," then "Save As," and changing the file extension to "WAV." Remember where you saved this file, as you'll need to find it later.
- 4). Use the mini-USB cable to connect your cell phone to your computer.
- 5). Click "Start," then "My Computer," and double-click on the USB drive location where your cell phone is connected.
- 6). Double-click on the "Ringtones" folder to open it.
- 7). Find the ringtone that you made in Step 3, double-click on it, and select "Copy."
- 8). Open up the "Ringtones" folder, right-click anywhere inside it (as long as you're not clicking on a file), and click "Paste." This will copy your created WAV ringtone onto your cell phone.
- 9). Disconnect your cell phone from your computer. Turn your cell phone off to allow it to process the new information.
- 10
Turn on your cell phone. You should now be able to use the WAV ringtone.
