How to Save Rhino As SketchUp
- 1). Open the file in Rhino that you would like to work with if it is not open already by clicking "File" and then "Open."
- 2). Click "File" and then "Export Selected" once the project loads.
- 3). Click the "Save as type" dropdown box when the dialog box appears, and then select ".3ds."
- 4). Type a name for the project in the "Name" field and then click "Export."
- 1). Open Sketchup by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and then "Google SketchUp."
- 2). Click "File" and then click "Import."
- 3). Navigate to the directory that you saved your Rhino project in using the "Import" dialog box that appears.
- 4). Click the "Files of type" dropdown box and then select ".3ds."
- 5). Double-click the ".3ds" file that you just created to import it into SketchUp.
