SIM Lock Feature

• 1). Press the power key on the top right of the phone. After the phone starts up, an "Enter PIN" message will display if your SIM lock is enabled.
  
  
• 2). Use the key pad to type in your four- to eight-digit PIN. If you're unsure of your PIN or have not changed it in your phone's settings, enter the default SIM PIN as set by your wireless carrier. (This code is often "1111" or "1234.")
  
  
• 3). Press "OK." If you entered the correct code, your W800i will unlock. Otherwise, a "Wrong PIN" message will appear; proceed to the next step.
  
  
• 4). Type in the default PIN -- or another PIN that you think may be the code -- and press "OK." Continue entering PINs until a "PIN Blocked" message displays. (After three incorrect attempts, you will see this error.)
  
  
• 5). Contact your wireless carrier by calling the toll-free customer service hotline. (You will need to use a phone other then your W800i. Find the phone number on the company web page or on your invoice.) Request the PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) for your device.
  
  
• 6). Type in the PUK provided to you using the W800i's keypad and press "OK."
  
  
• 7). Type in a new four- to eight-digit PIN and press "OK." Reenter the PIN when asked to confirm. Press "OK." Your phone is now unlocked.
  
  

Phone Lock Feature

• 1). Press the power button on the top right of the phone to turn it on. "Enter Code" will display when the phone lock is in use.
  
  
• 2). Type in your four- to eight-digit phone-lock code. If you are uncertain of the code or have not changed it, use Sony Ericsson's default lock code of "0000."
  
  
• 3). Press "OK." If you entered the correct code, your device will unlock, If you do not know the correct code, you will need to take the phone to your wireless provider or a Sony Ericsson retailer for help.
