We would all love a toned muscular body but gym memberships can be very expensive and dumbbells or weights are not cheap either.
The alternative is a home workout without weights or gym equipment.
You must have heard of Charles Atlas, his adverts were in all the old comic books.
They were about a skinny guy who got sand kicked in his face at the beach, he got his own back by building his muscles using the Charles Atlas bodybuilding routines.
These at home bodybuilding workouts without weights were called dynamic tension.
These dynamic tension exercises are still very popular today.
Here are a couple of dynamic tension body building exercises.
1.
Put the palms if your hands together keeping your fore arms straight, then push as hard as you can against each palm.
Do this until your arms begin to shake then rest.
This is particularly good for building muscle on your biceps.
2.
I do these ones at work all the time, each time I lift something I pretend it is lots heavier than it really is.
I make my muscles strain to pick up even the lightest objects.
The same as above I wait until my muscles shake then release and rest the muscles for 5 minutes then go again.
