Question: Why is the XHTML 101 certificate not paper?
Answer:
As this is an online course, your acheivement is recorded online. If you go to the Certified XHTML Developers List you will find a list of the people who have, to date, completed the HTML course and received their certificate.
As this is a free course, I cannot afford to create and mail an individualized certificate for each person who completes the course and exam.
I wish that I could. Perhaps in the future this will change. Nor can I currently accept donations to do so.
One thing you should remember is most employers want experience, and so the Web pages you have created or will create in the class and beyond will count for more than any certificate. Completing the course means that you do know HTML and can create a Web page from scratch. That counts for much more than a piece of paper does.
Once you are certified, please feel free to link directly to the Certified HTML Developers List on your resume or other locations where it would enhance your carreer.
