No Power on a Panasonic Microwave Oven

2

    Power Cord

    • If the Panasonic display is blank or isn't responding to commands, the power cord might be unplugged or damaged. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to reset the connection. Inspect the cord from end to end for damage, such as frays, cuts or severe dents. If the cord is damaged, replace it. Allow at least 10 seconds to pass and then plug the power cord back in, confirming a secure, snug connection.

    Circuit Breaker

    • If a power cord adjustment fails to fix the outage, a circuit breaker might be tripped or a fuse blown. Unplug the microwave. Open the circuit panel door to the microwave's designated breaker. Whether the circuit breaker is tripped or not, reset the breaker. Open the fuse box and confirm that all fuses are still intact. If the microwave fuse is blown, replace it.

    Outlet

    • If a circuit breaker adjustment doesn't correct the issues, the problem might lie with a faulty wall outlet. Unplug the microwave power cord from the wall outlet to reset the connection. Obtain a separate electronic device and plug its power cord into the same wall outlet. Turn on the electronic device to test the outlet for functionality. If the device fails to turn on, repair the wall outlet. If the device turns on, turn it off, unplug it and plug in the the microwave power cord again.

    Programming

    • If the microwave fails to start cooking, confirm the door is completely closed, as the microwave won't operate with the door ajar. If the door is closed, then another program might be in progress, preventing the task at hand. Push the "Stop/Reset" button to clear the current program. It's also possible that the "Stop/Reset" button might have been pressed accidentally, thus stopping the Panasonic from functioning. Enter a new program into the microwave, and try again.
