How to Remove the Orange Bar on My iPhone's Capacity
- 1). Click on the "Settings" icon on your iPhone and select "Safari" from the menu.
- 2). Tap the "Clear History," "Clear Cache," and "Clear Cookies" buttons on the Safari settings page. After you tap each button, you'll be prompted to confirm your decision. Select the "Clear" button each time to continue.
- 3). Erase all unnecessary text messages from your iPhone. Unless you delete them, your iPhone will save all of the text messages sent and received from your device. Over time, this can consume a lot of memory.
- 4). Erase contact information for businesses or individuals you no longer communicate with.
- 5). Connect your iPhone to your computer to computer to check the capacity status bar in iTunes. If the orange bar is still longer than you'd like, click the "Restore" button to restore your iPhone back to its factory settings. Once the restoration process is complete, you have the option to resync only the music, applications and other data you absolutely want on your phone. At this point, you'll notice that the orange bar has practically disappeared.
