Transferring Files to the MP3 Player (Windows Explorer)

• 1). Connect the Element MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Wait until your computer detects the MP3 player. Make note of the name and drive letter your computer associates with the device.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Start" icon in the Windows taskbar. Click "My Computer."
  
  
• 3). Double click the name of your MP3 player. This will open the root storage directory of the MP3 player (where all of the content on the device is stored.)
  
  
• 4). Drag and drop the files that you want on the MP3 player into the root storage directory.
  
  

Managing files on the MP3 player (Windows Media Player)

• 1). Open Windows Media Player. Connect the Element MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. After a few seconds, Windows Media Player will detect the device.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Sync" button. The Element MP3 player will sync with your Windows Media Player library. From here, you can transfer files to the device or delete files already on the device.
  
  
• 3). Drag and drop the files that you want to transfer to the device into the "List" window under the sync button. Click the "Start Sync" button to begin transferring the files to the device. Any incompatible files will be converted before being transferred.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Library" button. Select the "Contents" tab. A list of all the files on the device will be displayed. Right click the files that you want to delete and click "Delete." When asked to confirm the deletion, click "Yes."
  
  

Powering On and Playing Music

• 1). Hold the "Play" button to power on the device. Holding the "Play" button again will turn off the device.
  
  
• 2). Press and hold the "Mode" button to bring up the menu. Select "MSC" to enter the music playback menu.
  
  
• 3). Use the directional pad on the device to scroll the music. Press the "Play" button to begin playing the selected song. Pressing the "Play" button again will pause the song.
