How to Troubleshoot a Bissell Sweeper
- 1). Charge the sweeper. Plug the Bissell sweeper’s charger into an outlet if the sweeper doesn’t have power to operate. The charger is working if it gets warm after a few minutes of charging. Replace the charger if it’s not working.
- 2). Turn the power switch off when charging. Charge the Bissell sweeper uninterrupted for 16 hours for the first time, then run it down and perform further charges for 12 hours at a time. Unplug the sweeper from the charger when charging is complete.
- 3). Empty the dirt cup if the sweeper looses suction power. Press down on the sweeper to secure the cup again. Fully charge the sweeper.
- 4). Empty the dust pan, and inspect the sweeper if it won’t pick up dirt. Remove any debris that may prevent the brushes from turning.
- 5). Remove static if the sweeper still won’t pick up debris. Warm an anti-static dryer sheet in the dryer for a few minutes, and wipe the entire sweeper.
- 6). Unscrew the bottom section of the handle from the base, and push the sections together again by hand if the handle keeps falling apart. Tap it on the floor to force the sections together.
