How to Replace Windshield-Washer Tubing in a Cadillac Escalade
- 1). Find the Cadillac Escalade's windshield washer reservoir tank on the driver's side front, directly in front of the battery. You may need to remove the front quarter panel to get to the washer tank and tubing. Since the Escalade has significant height clearance, you'll be able to work from underneath it without using a jack.
- 2). Use tubing or tubing/valve assemblies specifically made for the Escalade SUV. Avoid the 'one size fits all' assembly as it will not fit properly. An auto parts store or the dealership will have the tubing you need.
- 3). Disconnect the tubing at the windshield side first and drain the remaining fluid into a separate container for disposal.
- 4). Detach the tubing from the bottom end of the reservoir. You'll need to be underneath the Escalade to reach this connection.
- 5). Connect the new tubing to the washer reservoir, then the windshield outlets.
- 6). Fill the reservoir with fresh washer fluid and test the wipers. You might notice that it takes a few minutes to prime the new tubing before you see washer fluid coming out onto the windshield.
