How to Improve the Contacts List on an iPhone
- 1). Assign photos to contacts. Click the "Edit" button from a contact's Info page. Then tap the "Add Photo" box. A prompt will appear. Tap "Take Photo" to take a photo of the selected contact, or tap "Choose Photo" to use a picture from your iPhone's photo album.
- 2). Specify a contact's phone number type. In the contact's Info page, tap the "Label" field located to the left of any phone number listed. Select a label for the phone number from the page that loads. Choices include "Mobile," "Home," "Work," "Main," "Fax" and others.
- 3). Tap the "Company" field of a contact's Info page if the number belongs to a company or organization. Your keypad will appear. Input the name of the company.
- 4). Enter a contact's email address in the "Email" field of his "Info" page. Tap the "Label" field next to the email address, then pick "Home," "Work" or "Other." Select "Add Custom Label" to create your own label for the email address.
- 5). Input the website of a contact in the "URL" field of her "Info" page.
- 6). Tap the "Add" icon next to the "Add New Address" section. Some new fields will appear. Fill in each field with the information it requests. For example, in the "City" field, input the name of the city where the contact lives.
- 7). Tap the "Done" button on the Info page task bar at the top of the screen to keep the changes and exit the edit page.
- 8). Press the "Home" button on your iPhone, then open the "Settings" menu. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars." Scroll down the page to the "Contacts" section. Select the "Sort Order" button to change the sorting of your contacts list. Select the "Display Order" button to edit the display order of your contacts list.
