Save from External Media

• 1). Navigate left or right to the appropriate section of the XMB bar based on the type of file you wish to copy. Your options are "Photo," "Music" and "Video."
  
  
• 2). Highlight the media device by navigating up and down. The PS3 will display all usable devices.
  
  
• 3). Press the blue "X" button to view the files that the PS3 recognizes. Only the file types that correspond to the XMB section you are in will display, so if you are in the "Photo" section, you will not see any music or video files, even if they are usable on the PS3.
  
  
• 4). Highlight a file you wish to copy.
  
  
• 5). Press the green "Triangle" button.
  
  
• 6). Select either "Copy" or "Copy Multiple." The former begins the copy process immediately; the latter allows you go through all the files on the storage media and check what you want to copy.
  
  
• 7). Select additional files to copy, if applicable. This is for the "Copy Multiple" option.
  
  
• 8). Select the "OK" button on the right side of the screen, if applicable. This begins the "Copy Multiple" operation.
  
  

Save from a Website

• 1). Move the cursor over the data to save in the PS3 web browser. If you are saving an image, you can move the cursor over the image itself. If you are saving a video or music file, you can move the cursor over a hyperlink that leads directly to the file.
  
  
• 2). Press the green "Triangle" button.
  
  
• 3). Select "Save Image" for an image file or "Save Target" for a music or video file. The latter option is when you select a hyperlink with your cursor.
  
  
• 4). Select "Hard Disk" for the download location, if the PS3 prompts you.
