  The Kingdom of the Netherlands includes the North and South provinces of Holland, which contain the popular port cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Edam. To the south of the Netherlands, Belgium's most popular river ports are Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels. Both countries are bordered by Germany to the east, with the United Kingdom a short distance from their western coasts.
