How to Get Paint Runs Out of Walls

11
    • 1). Scrape the paint runs gently from the walls. Use a razor blade, putty knife or a paint scraper depending on how large the runs are. Remove the thick part of the run from the entire surface. It may leave a jagged spot.

    • 2). Sand the area where you scraped the run. Create a smooth surface for the spot to be painted over. Lightly sand the area with fine-grain sandpaper until the run is completely gone and the entire area has been smoothed out.

    • 3). Paint the area using the same paint you painted the wall with. Make sure you paint around the area you sanded to make sure it matches the rest of the wall. Repaint the entire wall if the repair seems too obvious.
