How to Reset a Chevy S10 Computer
- 1). Open the fuse panel cover using your fingers. The fuse panel cover is in the driver's side foot well, under the steering column.
- 2). Locate the open onboard diagnostic port to the left of the main fuse panel. This port will be rectangular in shape.
- 3). Plug the OBD plug into the open port.
- 4). Turn the ignition on but don't crank the engine.
- 5). Press the "erase" button on the scan tool to clear the codes on the computer, then run the engine for approximately 10 minutes to allow the computer to fully reset itself.
