How to Connect a Wii High-Definition Cable to a TV
- 1). Insert the multi-plug on one end of the Wii high-definition cable into the port on the back of the Wii gaming system. The plug inserts with the ridge inside the plug facing up.
- 2). Connect the red, green and blue plugs on the other end of the Wii cable to the matching video input jacks on the back of the HDTV. Make a note of what label is over the set of ports--for instance, "Input 1" or "Input 2."
- 3). Insert the white and red audio plugs on the Wii cable into the left and right audio input jacks on the back of the HDTV. Use the audio jacks clustered with the set of video jacks you used.
- 4). Turn on the Wii and the HDTV, then press the "Input" button on the TV remote control repeatedly until you reach the input matching the labeled ports on the back of your TV. The Wii signal should appear on the screen.
