How to Use Live View & Take Pictures With the Nikon D300 at the Same Time
- 1). Turn on the D300.
- 2). Press the mode dial lock release and turn the mode dial to "LV." Press the shutter release button all the way down to engage Live View. You will now see the view through the lens on the camera monitor.
- 3). Frame the picture in the monitor. Press the shutter release button halfway down to focus the picture. Press the shutter release the rest of the way down to take the picture. The picture will now display on the monitor for a few seconds. To return to Live View to take another shot, press the shutter release button once.
