Can Synthetic Grass Be Cleaned?
- With normal use, dirt and debris can both build up on the surface of synthetic grass. For large debris, such as leaves, and small debris, such as dirt, the Association of Synthetic Grass Installers recommends using a leaf blower for cleaning.
- Organic debris, such as animal or plant waste, can decay on the surface and cause damage to synthetic grass. Remove these items by hand and rinse off the area with water. Rinsing is necessary as it removes any remaining residue from the decaying item, which can result in damage if left behind.
- Occasionally, owners may wish to sanitize their synthetic grass. This can be done using a mixture of water and vinegar, or various degreasers and cleaners that are manufactured specifically for use on synthetic grass.
