How to Raise All of the Sprinkler Heads in a Manual Zone Irrigation System
- 1). Locate the sprinkler control box. It's usually located outside the house and has a colored lid and a black frame that sits just above the surface.
- 2). Lift a corner of the lid to expose the control valves. Each valve controls one zone of sprinkler heads, usually up to 10 heads.
- 3). Locate the black or gray control knob on top of the sprinkler valves. These are known as solenoids and are usually marked "on" and "off."
- 4). Turn the solenoid for the zone that you want to activate to the "on" position. This will begin the flow of water to the entire zone, raising each of the sprinkler heads on it.
- 5). Turn the solenoid back to the "off" position when finished watering to lower all of the sprinkler heads and end the watering cycle.
