Why Isn't My Boost Mobile Code Working?

1

    Forgotten or Lost Code

    • If you've forgotten or lost the pass code for your Boost Mobile phone, you'll know it. It's perhaps the easiest situation to remedy, though. Remove the back cover and battery of your Boost Mobile phone and write down the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity number on the label in the battery compartment. Contact Boost Mobile support (see Resources), provide your IMEI number and ask for your PIN. You may be asked to sign up for a Boost Mobile account or for personal information to verify your identity, but you should be delivered your PIN over the phone or via email.

    Service Provider Denial

    • Your SIM card could be blocked by your service provider. If you are past due on a bill or are using a phone that's not otherwise approved for use on the network, you'll have to pay your bill or get a new code from Boost Mobile's support department before you can gain access to your phone.

    Locked Phone

    • Boost Mobile also could impose early termination fees and lock the SIM card if you intend to move to a new network, or if you are trying to use the phone secondhand with an old SIM card. You'll have to buy an unlock code if you don't intend to continue on with Boost Mobile. Navigate to an online unlock code site (three are given in the Resources section) and enter your phone's IMEI, model and service provider to find out if the site can unlock your phone and for how much. Prices range upward from $9.99. After you've paid and received the code via email, enter it into your Boost Mobile phone exactly as instructed by your particular vendor.

Online Option for Lost PIN for Valid Account

    • You may be having a problem getting in to your Boost Mobile online account because you've lost the PIN. Go to the first link in the References section and click on "Forgot your Account PIN?" Type in your 10-digit phone number in the resulting field and click "Submit." You'll receive your PIN via email. Once you receive your account PIN, log in to the Boost Mobile site with your phone number and PIN. From there, click the "Account Security" tab in the top pane.

Enter your new four-digit PIN in the "New PIN" field. Enter the PIN again in the "Re-Enter PIN" field. Select a new security question and answer, then click on "Submit." You should be supplied a new PIN number.
