How to Troubleshoot Nissan Pathfinder Low Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction

7
    • 1). Check the air pressure in each tire one at a time using an air pressure gauge. Make sure the air pressure is at the level specified on the vehicle door jamb. Sometimes an oil change store adjusts the air pressure to what they think it should be and not what the specifications require.

    • 2). Work on one wheel at a time by loosening the valve core with the valve core tool. Insert the tool into the stem and turn it counterclockwise. Re-tighten the core by turning the core clockwise. Readjust the air pressure to the car specifications.

    • 3). Set the TPMS to read each wheel's TPMS codes. If one of the low-pressure sensors is not working, the TPMS computer tool will show you which one is the culprit. The directions for using the TPMS computer tool are included in the set, but it is usually explained on the screen of the tool.
