Concrete

  Concrete is one of the best options for bathroom flooring, particularly for home builders and decorators who seek a modern look in their bathroom design. It is available as pourable concrete or in concrete tiles. Properly sealed concrete is incredibly strong and resists stains, water, microbial growth and allergens. Concrete can be stained to match many decors. Options for concrete flooring exist for many different budgets and also works well with floor-warming and radiant heat systems.
  
  

Stone Tile

  An elegant option for bathroom flooring that has many of the same qualities as concrete is stone tile. When installed and sealed accordingly, it is also sturdy as well as water resistant. Stone tile made from granite is particularly durable and will not scratch or chip as easily as ceramic tile. Other stone tile options, such as marble, limestone or travertine are not quite as durable as granite but still make good options for bathroom flooring.
  
  

Ceramic Tile

  Ceramic tile gives you many of the qualities of concrete and stone flooring with more colorful decorating options, including creating mosaics. Ceramic tile is also less expensive to install than concrete or stone tile. It is durable and stain resistant, though less so than stone or concrete, and is relatively easy to clean and maintain. One disadvantage is that ceramic tiles may scratch or chip, so order extra tiles for easier replacement. Ceramic tiles can also be slippery, and the grout requires special sealing to make cleaning easy.
  
  

Cork

• Unlike other wood flooring, cork is an eco-friendly flooring material that is surprisingly useful for bathrooms. Available in different stains and patterns, cork can add a natural look to your bathroom decor. While less water resistant than concrete, stone and ceramic, it has natural anti-microbial properties and, when properly cared for, experiences few problems with water damage. Cork is soft and warmer to stand on than concrete, stone and ceramic and is also much less slippery, insulates naturally and absorbs sound.
