Escape From the Gallery Hints
- "Escape from the Gallery" is a room-escape game made by ShatteredGames. The game takes place in four rooms of an art gallery. Players interact with the artwork and other objects in the rooms to uncover the tools they need to escape from the gallery.
- Pressing the "Tab" key on the keyboard brings up a yellow box that reveals which areas of the room you can click on. Items that can be added to your inventory also turn yellow. Inventory items are useful for interacting with highlighted areas.
- Objects that you find around the gallery are added to the inventory boxes at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on the area behind or around the inventory item reveals a description of the item. Clicking on the item itself and dragging it from its box allows you to pick it up and use it in the gallery. You need 11 tools to escape from the gallery: a dental pick, light bulb, projector lens, spigot handle, glass cutter, remote control, marker, utility knife, suction cup, garden hose and key. Each item has one specific use in the game.
- Some tools are in plain view, but others are hidden behind or under objects. It's necessary to move or open items in the gallery to gain access to all the tools. The "Tab" key will help you to pinpoint the precise locations you should focus on in your search.
All of the objects in the gallery serve a purpose when making your escape, with one exception---the row of bottles in the starting room of the game. While you can click on this artwork to get a close-up view, no tools will be found or used here.
The shark tank plays a pivotal role in "Escape from the Gallery." An important item can be found inside the shark tank, but you must first find a way to drain the water from the tank and break through the glass to obtain it.
The projector located in the room behind the shark tank hides a message. You must restore the projector to working order, then turn out the lights and click on the projector's beam to read it.
The gallery has no discernible exit point, so you'll have to create one. You can create a doorway on the blank wall located on the right side of the starting room. The tool you need to accomplish this fits in with the game's artistic theme.
