How to Load Music Onto a Zune
- 1). Install the Zune software CD on a computer if it isn't installed already. Zune software can be downloaded from zune.net at the "free download link" if the CD is not available (see References).
- 2). Go into the Zune settings menu to customize the folders Zune will import from. Zune will automatically import music and build the Zune collection from the computer's "My Music" folder. If this is where the music is stored on the computer, no changes are necessary.
- 3). Rip music from a music CD to the Zune library by inserting the CD, then clicking "Rip" on the settings menu of the Zune software. For a quicker way to rip music from a CD, select "Rip CD automatically when inserted."
- 4). Purchase music online from Zune Marketplace (see References). Zune Marketplace offers a subscription to unlimited downloads or the option to pay per download.
- 5). Plug one end of the Zune adapter into the Zune player and the other end into a USB port on the computer. The Zune software will detect the player and automatically import (sync) the music in the Zune library onto the player.
