Engine Manufacture

• The Nissan 350Z's engines have a V-shaped, six-cylinder design and 24-valve double-overhead camshaft configuration. They use a sequential electronic fuel-injection system.
  
  

Horsepower

• With its debut in 2003, the 350Z started off with a VQ35DE engine that pumps out 287 horsepower. For 2005, Nissan introduced a "35th Anniversary and Track" version of the VQ35DE that generates 300 horsepower. The Anniversary engine replaced the 287-horsepower one for 2006; and for 2007, Nissan replaced it with the VQ35HR, which has 306 horsepower. The VQ35HR is the standard engine for the car's last model years, 2007 to 2009. All engines have a capacity of 3.5 liters.
