How to Troubleshoot Silverlight if You Cannot Install It
- 1). Check to make sure that you have enough available hard-drive space for the installation. Click "Start," select "Computer" and then right-click the hard-drive icon and choose "Properties"; this opens a window that displays how much storage space you have available on the computer. If you have less than a gigabyte available, you must remove programs and files to make room for Silverlight.
- 2). Upgrade your Internet browser. Download the latest version of your browser from its website. If you don't have the latest browser installed, Microsoft Silverlight will not function.
- 3). Click "Start," select "Control Panel" and double-click the "System" icon; this opens a window that displays all the hardware currently running on the computer. Your processor must run at 1.6 gigahertz, and your system must have 512 MB of RAM. If you don't have at least this powerful a system, you must upgrade your system in order to use the Silverlight software.
