How to Transfer Contacts From an Instinct to a Curve

    Bluetooth Transfer

    • 1). Click "Options" on your BlackBerry Curve and select "Bluetooth."

    • 2). Press the "Menu" button on the Curve and choose "Options." A list of Bluetooth settings will appear on the screen.

    • 3). Change "Discoverable" to "Yes," press the "Menu" button and select "Save."

    • 4). Enable the phone feature on your Samsung Instinct by pressing the button with a phone handset symbol.

    • 5). Tap "Contacts" and select the contact you want to send from the Instinct to the Curve.

    • 6). Choose "Send Contact." The Instinct will perform a search for available Bluetooth devices and display the results of the search in a list.

    • 7). Touch the BlackBerry Curve entry on the list and press "Send" to send the contact data from the Instinct to the Curve. A prompt will appear on the Curve asking for confirmation of receiving the contact information.

    • 8). Select "Yes" on the Curve to save the contact to the phone.

    • 9). Repeat Steps 5-8 for each contact you want to send from the Instinct to the Curve.

    CSV File

    • 1). Open the main menu on your Samsung Instinct and choose "Settings," then "Contacts," then "Mobile Sync."

    • 2). Choose "Activate" from the list of options and confirm the selection by touching "Yes." Your contact information will download to your account on the Sprint website.

    • 3). Log in to your mobile phone account on the Sprint website, click on "My Online Tools" and then the "Sprint Mobile Sync" link.

    • 4). Select the "My Contacts" tab to open the list of your contacts and select "Export Contacts." A "File Download" window will appear on the screen.

    • 5). Choose "Save" and select a download destination. Take not of the download destination so you can access it later. A CSV file is created of your contacts.

    • 6). Log in to your BlackBerry account on the BlackBerry Internet Service and click the "Address Book" tab.

    • 7). Click "Import" in the navigation bar, choose "Browse" and navigate to the CSV file you created on your computer.

    • 8). Select the CSV file, click "Open" and then "Add." The contacts placed in the CSV file will download to your BlackBerry Internet Service address book.

    • 9). Choose "Email Accounts" on the BlackBerry Internet Service website and select "Edit" next to your email address.

      Place a mark next to "Contacts" and choose "Save." Your address book information will upload to your BlackBerry Curve.
