Connecting to your Computer

• 1). Install one of the three VNC programs in the resources section if you are attempting to connect to a Windows or Linux computer. If you are using a Mac, you can connect using Mac's Apple Remote Desktop client software.
  
  
• 2). Configure your router to forward port 5900 to your IP address if you are using Windows or a Mac. Configure it to forward port 5901 if you are using Linux. If there are multiple computers utilizing VNC on your network, you'll need to reconfigure your VNC program and router to use a different port.
  
  
• 3). Start VNC on your IPhone and tap the "Connect" button in the navigation bar.
  
  
• 4). Enter the IP address or DNS name of your home network in the "VNC Server IP Address" field. If your ISP gives you a dynamic IP address, use a DNS hosting service such as DynDNS to associate a DNS name with your IP address.
  
  
• 5). Enter the port number that you configured in step 2 in the "VNC Server Port Field." Enter the password that you configured when installing your VNC software in step 1 in the "VNC Password" field. Tap "Connect."
  
  

Interacting with your Computer

• 1). Shake your iPhone to show or hide Mocha VNC's control buttons at the bottom of the screen.
  
  
• 2). Click the keyboard icon to bring up an onscreen keyboard that will emulate your computer's keyboard. Use the Menu button to access Mocha VNC's menu. Use the zoom button to scroll out and reset the view.
  
  
• 3). Use two fingers on the screen to change the zoom level. Use one finger to scroll across the screen. Double tapping the zoom button will lock the screen, allowing you to perform drag operations.
