How to Replace a Honda Odyssey Mirror
- 1). Open the door and power the window down on the side having the mirror replaced. Remove the key from the ignition after the window is down.
- 2). Pry the corner molding (known as the sail) from the door frame opposite the mirror using the angled trim pry tool.
- 3). Disconnect the wire harness plug from the mirror. The plug will be visible after the sail is removed.
- 4). Remove the three retaining nuts from the mirror studs (revealed by the sail removal) using the T-handled socket wrench. Brace the bottom of the mirror with your hand through the window opening so the mirror does not fall and scratch the paint on the exterior door panel.
- 5). Remove the mirror.
- 6). Align the studs of the replacement mirror with the holes on the exterior door frame and set it into place. Replace the three retaining nuts on the replacement mirror studs and tighten with the socket wrench.
- 7). Plug the wire harness into the replacement mirror. Reposition the plastic sail by snapping it in place to secure it.
