How to Clean a Fume Hood Filter
- 1). Remove your fume hood filter according to the manufacturer's directions, found in the owner's manual.
- 2). Fill your kitchen sink with extremely hot water. Dump in a scoop of Oxiclean.
- 3). Put the filter in the water and let it soak for an hour. After an hour, take it out of the water and rinse it off in hot water. Let the filter dry and place it back in the hood.
