Is Sugar a Problem?
NOT IF YOU LIKE BEING A DIABETIC OR OBESE.
Now is that fair to say? When doctors, the Mayo Clinic, the American Heart Association, diet counselors, USDA and really ANYBODY dealing with human health say 6 teaspoons of sugar is more than enough for humans to have each day. Too, bad the average American consumes 22 teaspoons of sugar a day. This is not only the natural sugar found in foods, this is mostly added sugar. Most 12 ounce soft drinks alone have, on average, 35 grams of sugar. That is equal to about 12 teaspoons. Now do you think there is a problem? How often do people just have 12 ounces? Exactly! A small counter drink is 20 ounces and a large can be as high as 64 ounces. Many kids are drinking soda before they can walk. What about candy, gum, cakes, pies and many more processed foods. Concentrated fruit drinks are just as bad if not worse; because we think these are healthy and good for us. They have as much sugar or even more than soft drinks. I could go on there are many more examples, but I think I got my point across.
Diabetes and obesity are getting close to epidemic proportions if they haven't reach them already.. Do you ever wonder why you seem to catch whatever is going around at the office? Do you need to take a so called €Energy Drink€ in order to make it through the afternoon? I read that this generation of kids could be diabetics before they reach 30. Take a look next time you are at the mall and see how many people look over weight. It will be easier than finding the people with a healthy appearance. Health care is a nightmare now and it's only going to get worse. So what are all of these unhealthy people going to do in the next few years? Who is going to take care of them? Would NOT it be sad to outlive your kids?
The point I really would like to convey is that €The American Diet,€ is a disaster. We have a choice in what we eat and look what we put on our plate. We are good at making up excuses like it cost too much, it's too, time consuming, it's not hip or it just doesn't taste good. These excuses are just that, excuses. If you knew how much better you would feel with just a few changes in your diet, these excuses would not hold you back. This is America with thousands of grocery stores and we waste as much as we eat, so what is your excuse for eating €Crap?€ This is just my opinion base on a few facts. Almost everybody in America has a cell phone and a computer, so do some research don't take my word for it. I'm sorry if feeling better is notNot willing to change, than add enough incentive to change. Maybe we are not the smartest country? Remember if we don't buy it, they won't make it. Think!! Research!!
