How to Put Music Onto an iPod 512 MB MP3 Player
- 1). Install iTunes if you have not already done so. Insert the iTunes CD that came with your 512MB iPod Shuffle into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the installation wizard's instructions. You may also download iTunes from the Apple website.
- 2). Import music from audio CDs if you do not already have your desired music in digital audio file format. Open iTunes and insert the audio CD into your computer's CD drive. Uncheck any of the CD's tracks you do not want to import. Push the "Import" button. The tracks will be added to your iTunes library.
- 3). Copy any other music you wish to add to the Shuffle to the iTunes library, if it is not already there. Do this by dragging and dropping the audio file icons from their file folders onto the iTunes player window.
- 4). Remove the iPod Shuffle's USB cap and insert the device into an available USB port on your computer.
- 5). Click the Shuffle's icon from your "Devices" list in iTunes. Choose the songs and playlists you wish to put onto the Shuffle from the "Music" tab (choose the "Selected playlists, artists or genre" option to add specific songs by the aforementioned filter categories).
- 6). Click the "Sync" button to complete the music transfer.
