How to do an Oil Change on a 1981 Silverwing
- 1). Warm the engine of the Silverwing for 5 minutes so that the engine oil will drain faster. Place the oil container under the drain nut and remove the nut using the ratchet set. Replace the nut once the oil is finished draining from the engine.
- 2). Remove the oil filter that is on top of the crankcase by turning it with your hand. Install the new filter. Remove the small cap on the left side of the engine and insert the funnel into the hole where the small cap was. Pour 2 1/2 quarts Honda motorcycle engine oil into the engine through the funnel.
- 3). Remove the funnel from the side of the engine and replace the cap to the side of the engine. Remove the oil container from under the engine.
- 4). Start the engine and check the drain plug and thr new filter for leaks. Turn the engine off and check the oil level. Add oil, if necessary, to bring the level to the "Full" mark.
