Information on the Game of Hearts
- The player with the lowest score is the winner. Players try to avoid tricks with hearts or the queen of spades.
- Deal the cards using a standard 52 card deck. Make sure each person has the same number of cards. Put any leftover cards in a pile in the center.
- The person holding the two of clubs begins by putting down the card. The other players, in turn, put down a card. If they cannot follow suit, they play any card they choose. The winner of the trick is the person who played the highest card. After all the cards have been played, players count up their tricks. Hearts are worth one point each and the queen of spades is worth 13 points. The player with the jack of diamonds can deduct 13 points from his score.
