Back when I was younger I was plagued by panic attacks. At that point in time I really had no clue what they were and why they were affecting me so bad. There were times when I was just standing in a store and my mind would race and my chest would get tight. Eventually I would feel faint. I could not stand this light headed feeling. It was like trying to walk on a water bed.
Before I did my due diligence and research, I would literally get it into my head that I was dying. I mean how could my symptoms be so severe? Every time I started thinking of my plight my mind would race and I would notice more symptoms. I was stuck in the never ending cycle of panic attacks.

Panic attacks are unique because they strike so quick. That's part of what makes a panic attack so devastating. At one moment you are fine, and then before you know it you are having a full scale panic attack. This also makes them very hard to live with because people typically start getting scared to even leave their house.
Once someone has a panic attack, let's say in a restaurant, they may begin to start avoiding restaurants in general. The person is simply trying to avoid what they know triggers their panic and anxiety. This starts to really adversely affect a person's life. Depending what triggers a person's anxiety; one might not even be able to leave their house. If a person does not get treatment for this, it can have a huge impact on their lives.
