If you want to accelerate the aging process, go to bed late and drink caffeine and alcohol, that should do it.
The money you've just spent on anti aging face cream will not help at all as you aren't getting 8 hours sleep and you are drinking toxins that will age you quickly.
However, if you wish to slow that process down, look great and have more energy, stick to a strict once a week with the "treats", that's why they are treats..
if you have them all the time then they are an addiction, not a treat.
I'm not calling you an alcoholic, but you start using a food diary and write down how much you drink in a week then take a cold hard look at your belly and the wrinkles.
Think about it from a kids point of view..
have you got kids? don't they drive you mad whining for sweets all the time, do you buy them just to shut them up? You are doing the same with yourself.
Buy the wine to shut the cravings up and watching the belly grow and the health decline.
Some may say "yeah I cope great on 4 hours sleep!" over time your body will look stressed, the fat deposits around the mid section, you start to feel the skin sag and you get sugar cravings.
A vicious cycle that will only be broken by you.
Break the cycle.
Helpful tips to get you to sleep include: COMPUTERS! shut them off at least one hour before bed, the light from them stimulates the brain and you think its daytime, the lights are on, the TV may be on too.
the brain doesn't know if its winter or summer.
To your brain its daylight, then you switch everything off when its time to go to bed and expect it to sleep.
Do you really need to be on Facebook after 10pm at night? more than being lean and healthy? Candles: get romantic and light the candles, you wont be thinking "sunlight" but be thinking "moonlight" Drink Herbal tea for a calming effect rather than a caffeine fueled coffee, no to de- caffeinated coffee too, it has the same effect as caffeine.
TV - keep watching it late at night and you won't get to that lean body you want.
Cortisol and stress hormones elevate, what does that do?? It raises blood sugar, this releases insulin to lower it.
In time this leads to craving carbs, eating late night snacks in front of the TV/computer.
Its a hormonal thing, but don't use that as an excuse as you stuff your face thinking you will work it off at the gym tomorrow - it doesn't work that way - who made that rule up? Most people in the gym don't work hard enough to burn fat - but that's for another time..
I am talking about sleep and your wrinkles..
Clocks - if you have a digital alarm clock that glows those large red numbers, turn it away from you so you cannot see the light it emits.
Eating - after 8pm munching food can disrupt your sleep patterns.
One of my dedicated clients has switched to early morning workouts, then goes to work, eats at 6pm and is in bed by 9pm and up at 5.
30 am working out with a 30 minute home programme I have drawn up for him.
It's working! He made a choice.
