    • 1). Write "Will of (insert full legal name)" at the top of the paper you are using to write your will. Then write on the next line "I, (insert full legal name), of (county, state) declare this to be my last will and testament."

    • 2). In the first section of your will, declare your revocation all previous wills you created.

    • 3). In the second section, let the reader know the full name of your spouse or another family member. State all references to this person's name refer to the person in this section.

    • 4). Let the reader know the names of all your children in the third section. If you have no children, state, "I have no children, living or dead."

    • 5). In the fourth section of your will, write down your funeral wishes. State where you want the funeral held, the religious rites preferred and who should perform those rites. Tell the reader what to do with your remains. Also, set a cap for the cost of your funeral, burial and gravestone.

      At the end of the will, include an attestation clause that states the person's name written is the same person whose signature appears at the end of the will. State how many pages the will has, and the full names of the witnesses who saw you sign your name at the end of the will.
