How to Remove Ink From Urethane Foam Materials
- 1). Dab the ink stain with a damp sponge, cloth or paper towel to try to remove as much of the ink as possible.
- 2). Spray hairspray directly on the ink stain. Non-aerosol works best, but either type will work.
- 3). Blot the hairspray and ink up using a paper towel. Continue spraying and blotting until the stain is removed.
- 4). Use a damp sponge, cloth or paper towel to wipe the area clean of any remaining hairspray residue.
- 5). Use a towel to blot up any remaining moisture from the urethane foam.
- 1). Dab the stain with a damp cloth or sponge until no more ink comes out.
- 2). Mix 1/4 cup powder laundry detergent with 1/8 cup lemon juice. Stir together. The mix should be paste-like in appearance. Add more laundry detergent if the mixture is too watery, and more lemon juice if the mixture is too thick.
- 3). Rub the mixture onto the ink stain. Rub it in using your finger or a soft-bristled brush. Allow the mixture to sit on the stain for an hour.
- 4). Wipe the mixture away using a damp cloth or sponge. Be sure to remove all of the paste residue.
- 5). Use a towel to blot up any remaining moisture from the urethane foam.
