How to Make Snacks With Corn Muffin Mix
- 1). Stir together the egg, corn muffin mix, 1/3 cup milk, 1/4 cup of flour, the red pepper, onion and optional chili powder until a thick batter forms.
- 2). Heat the oil in the pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 3). Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of the corn muffin dough (hush puppy dough) into the hot oil.
- 4). Fry the hush puppies for 4 minutes or until golden browned on all sides.
- 5). Remove the fried hush puppies from the oil with a frying skimmer and drain on paper towels. Serve with ketchup, if desired.
