    • 1). Write down the last four digits of the tire identification number located on the sidewall.

    • 2). Add the digits "20" before the last two digits. This is the year that the tire was manufactured. For example, if the four digits from Step 1 are "2308," the tire was manufactured in 2008.

    • 3). Use the first two digits from Step 1 to determine the week of the year in which the tire was manufactured. To do this, simply use an online calendar for the year you calculated in Step 2 and count off the number of weeks specified by the two digits. For example, if the four digits are "2308," count off the weeks until you get to the twenty-third week of 2008.

    Tires Manufactured Since 2000
