How to Remove Iron Stains From the Bath & Shower
- 1). Remove the top of the empty spray bottle and set the top aside.
- 2). Using the measuring cup, measure out 1/2 of a cup of white vinegar and pour it into the empty spray bottle.
- 3). Measure out an additional 1/2 cup of lemon juice and add that to the white vinegar in the spray bottle.
- 4). Measure out 1 cup of water and add it to the lemon and vinegar mixture in the spray bottle, and replace the top of the spray bottle, twisting the top closed securely.
- 5). Shake the spray bottle gently to ensure that the contents are evenly mixed, to create the best cleaning solution.
- 6). Spray the cleaning mixture on the rust-stained areas in your shower and bath and let the mixture sit on the stain for five minutes.
- 7). Use the damp, clean rag to scrub away at the rust stains. The stains should come off fairly easily, due to the acid in the mixture.
- 8). Rinse the area thoroughly with clean water, and repeat the process if needed.
