Davidson College, located near Charlotte, North Carolina, is known for its liberal arts curriculum, good basketball teams and free laundry for students. But if you are considering Davidson as a way to avoid having to do laundry during your college years, you're in for a disappointment. After nearly 90 years of providing free laundry service for students, effective May 15, 2015, the central laundry service will no longer be available.
