    How to Add MP3s to Your iTunes Library

    • 1). Open iTunes on your computer by selecting it from the programs folder on your computer or by double-clicking on the desktop icon.

    • 2). Click on "File" in the top left-hand corner of iTunes. Clicking on this will bring up a drop-down menu

    • 3). Scroll to and click "Add to Library," which will open a pop-up window that will allow you to search your computer for MP3s.

    • 4). Click on the folder where you have stored your MP3s.

    • 5). Select the MP3 you want to add to your iTunes library by clicking on it in the search window--add multiple songs by holding the "Ctrl" key on a PC or the "Command" key on a Mac and click on the additional songs. To add all MP3s from a folder, hold down the "Ctrl" and "A" keys on a PC or the "Command" and "A" keys on a Mac to select all of the MP3s in the folder.

    • 6). Click the "Choose" button at the bottom of the search window to add the selected MP3(s) to iTunes.

    Add MP3s from Your iTunes Library to Your iPod Touch

    • 1). Connect your iPod Touch to your computer using the supplied iPod cable--dock connector to USB.

    • 2). Open iTunes on your computer. When iTunes recognizes that your iPod Touch is connected to your computer, an iPod icon will appear in the "Device" section, which is located on the left-hand side of the iTunes interface.

    • 3). Click on the "Music" option below the "Library" tab on the top of the control menu on the left-hand side of iTunes. Once you click on "Music," all of the songs you have added to your iTunes library will be displayed in the main window of iTunes.

    • 4). Use the scroll bar on the far right-hand side of iTunes to scroll through the songs. When you see a song you want to add to your iPod Touch, click on it so that it is highlighted.

    • 5). Drag the highlighted song to the iPod icon in the device list. When the iPod icon becomes highlighted, release your mouse button to transfer the song to your iPod Touch.
