Choosing Baby"s Gender - Why You Don"t Need PDG Or Sperm Sorting

14
If you're looking for information on gender selection, you already know that choosing baby's gender isn't just a pipe dream.
These day's several clinically proven and accepted medical procedures are available to let you choose the sex of your baby.
What many couples are coming to realize, though, is that the most media-hyped methods may not be the most successful.
The methods most parents-to-be come across first are PDG (preimplantation diagnosis) and sperm sorting.
Unfortunately, these techniques have more than a few drawbacks.
The first is that they're unnatural and risky.
They both require invasive IUI or IVF procedures for the woman to conceive and these increase your risk of miscarriage and premature delivery.
Another barrier for many couples is the fact that these procedures aren't exactly free.
Sperm sorting can cost a minimum of $1000, while PDG will run you between $18000 to $20000.
To top it off, medical gender selection methods aren't nearly as effective as many couple believe.
For sperm sorting, the success rate for conceiving a baby boy is around 80% and 70% for a baby girl.
With PDG it's up to 100%, if you can shell out the 18 grand.
Of course, rates vary from couple to couple and from clinic to clinic.
But that's if you get pregnant at all.
These procedures generally take a few tries to get the egg to implant and you'll have to pay for each attempt.
If you're thinking "Well, hey, a 75% success rate isn't bad," think again.
You're paying for an uncomfortable, risky procedure that, expect for PDG, actually has a lower success rate than natural methods of selecting a baby's gender.
That's right, completely natural methods have a proven higher success rate.
You're not going to find that in any clinic's patient handouts, though.
A lot of people pass up natural gender selection methods because they assume it's all a bunch of myths and old wives' tales about what to eat for breakfast or what point in the cycle to try to conceive.
While a lot of the gender selection advice you find online is just plain silly, some of it really will tip the odds in favor of one gender over another.
The problem is you can't take a hit and miss approach to choosing baby's gender.
You've got to work with a complete system.
One thing increases your odds by 5%, another by 7% and so on until with all the methods combined you've got up to a 94% chance of getting the little boy or girl you're dreaming of.
