Abdominal workouts are today's concern, as is the desire to be thin.
Not that exercise is a fad because it is not.
People have been exercising for one reason or another for years.
But over exercising and overly strenuous exercise is not necessary.
Many people are turning to strenuous Ab workouts because they want to lose that belly fat and get that coveted thin look.
There are videos and books by the hundreds to tell you how to get rid of the tummy fat and how to build your muscles.
We don't know if it's legend or fact but some feel that if you exercise to get those Abs while you have belly fat, the muscles will develop under the fat and your belly will protrude.
Whether truth or fiction, the thought of it should be incentive to get rid of that belly fat.
In addition to the books and videos, there are belts and machines that claim to do the job for us.
In order to feel comfortable removing that excess fat the exercise should be your own choice.
Exercise No.
1, is the toe touch.
While lying on the floor, with your back flat on the floor, bring your arms and legs up as high and as straight as you can, Hold them there and raise your arms up as high and straight as you can get them.
With arms and legs up high, lift your upper body high enough for your hands to reach your toes.
While in this position tighten your stomach muscles, hold them tight, lower yourself back to your original position.
Rest for a second and do it again as often as you can and increase as it becomes easier.
Exercise No.
2 the reverse curl.
Lay on the floor with your back flat against the floor.
Keep your hands at your sides and the upper back on the floor, lift your hips high.
When the hips are high as you can lift them, tighten the stomach muscles and lower the hips back to their original position.
These exercises are the beginning of many that will help you dispose of that belly fat.
